Traminer Trio Leutschach Südsteiermark DAC 2024

In the glass, the wine displays a radiant, pale golden-yellow color with high viscosity. On the nose, floral notes of rose petals and vanilla beans unfold, complemented by subtle gingerbread spices and warm hints of honey. On the palate, the wine is dry and full-bodied, supported by mild acidity and a medium-bodied structure with lovely extract sweetness. The long-lasting finish is characterized by spicy nutmeg and elegant honey notes. A harmonious, expressive wine with depth, spice, and a lingering finish.

Year & vinification

Year:
A virtually snow-free and warm winter led to very early budbreak. Despite a severe cold snap in mid-April, the vines remained frost-free thanks to their high-altitude vineyard locations. A cool early summer with ample rainfall during flowering, followed by a dry, hot summer, meant that the harvest began as early as the end of August. The result is fantastic grapes with a balanced sugar-to-acid ratio.

Vinification:
Aged and matured on the fine lees in a stainless steel tank for 7 months
