SIEME Blanc de Blanc Sekt g.U. Steiermark Reservé 2021

In the glass, SIEME sparkling wine displays a pale yellow color with visibly delicate, lively bubbles. On the nose, it is refined and elegant, understated yet present, characterized by juicy peach aromas, fresh yeast-based pastries, and a subtle hint of citrus. On the palate, a perfect marriage of fruit and fruit acidity unfolds, harmoniously combined with a creamy, precisely integrated effervescence. This hand-racked Burgundy impresses with delicate stone fruit aromas, great finesse, and impressive balance. A sparkling wine with elegance, depth, and expression—truly spectacular.

Year & vinification

Year:
A dry, almost snowless winter laid the groundwork, but budbreak was delayed and did not begin until early May. Before flowering, above-average temperatures brought intense heat, followed by ideal dry conditions that led to vine flowering in late May. This was followed by above-average rainfall in June. Hot and dry weeks characterized July and August, which meant that the harvest took place somewhat later than usual—with the main harvest beginning in early October.

Vinification:
traditional bottle fermentation
