Steirerbua Steiermark

In the glass, the Steirerbua displays a clear, pale yellow color with youthful freshness and vibrant brilliance. The aroma evokes fresh apples, pears, and citrus fruits. The bouquet is very clean, fruity, and playful, underscoring the wine’s uncomplicated character. On the palate, the Steirerbua is youthfully fresh, extra-dry, yet distinctly fruity. Its slender body lends it lightness and makes it very easy to drink, while juicy stone fruit aromas define the finish. The well-integrated acidity provides structure and freshness without being overpowering. A straightforward, honest wine that’s a joy to drink and embodies Styrian down-to-earth charm.

Year & vinification

Year:
The winter brought an exceptional amount of snow, providing our vineyards with valuable moisture reserves—a total of about 1.4 meters of snow. As temperatures rose, the vines began to bud harmoniously in mid-April, and flowering also proceeded exceptionally well under favorable conditions. The summer then turned out to be hot and dry, but our deep-rooted vines benefited from the water reserves accumulated over the winter and produced small, highly concentrated berries. As early as August 26, we began the harvest—earlier than ever before—and were able to harvest healthy, aromatic grapes of outstanding quality—the foundation for elegant wines with clear fruit, beautiful varietal character, and harmonious structure.
