The bouquet is very typical and straightforward, underscoring the classic style of Welschriesling from Southern Styria. Juicy pear and fresh apple dominate the palate. The dry style is accompanied by a clear, harmonious acidity. Delicately spicy and slender, the wine finishes with a delicate, refined touch. The winter was dry and unusually mild, allowing the vines to bud harmoniously in mid-April. Thanks to the high elevation of our vineyards, there was no frost damage, and flowering proceeded exceptionally well under ideal weather conditions in May and June. The summer then turned out to be extremely dry and hot, resulting in small, highly concentrated berries. The early start to the harvest on September 1st yielded exceptional quality—wines with delicate fruit, slightly lower alcohol content, and a wonderfully lively acidity.
