Weissburgunder Südsteiermark DAC 2025

In the glass, the Pinot Blanc displays a brilliantly clear straw-yellow color with shimmering highlights. On the nose, elegant aromas of quince, fresh apple, and juicy peach unfold. These fruity notes are accompanied by a subtle herbal spice that lends the bouquet additional depth and a distinct regional character. On the palate, the wine is dry, delicately spiced, and very well-balanced. The fresh acidity provides liveliness, while the medium body and juicy fruitiness ensure a pleasant drinking experience. Delicate herbal notes and a clear, straightforward structure define the flavor through to the delicately spiced finish. A classic Pinot Blanc that is a joy to drink and exudes stylish restraint.

Year & vinification

Year:
The winter was dry and unusually mild, allowing the vines to bud harmoniously in mid-April. Thanks to the high elevation of our vineyards, there was no frost damage, and flowering proceeded exceptionally well under ideal weather conditions in May and June. The summer then turned out to be extremely dry and hot, resulting in small, highly concentrated berries. The early start to the harvest on September 1st yielded exceptional quality—wines with delicate fruit, slightly lower alcohol content, and a wonderfully lively acidity.

Vinification:
8 months on the fine lees in a stainless steel tank
